At Town Hall Outdoor Co, we’ve always believed that business should do more than just sell stuff. It should stand for something. Like clean air. Happy kids. Healthy communities. And wild places that stay wild.
That’s why we’re over-the-moon to announce: We’re officially a Certified B Corporation™.
B Lab — the brains behind the B Corp movement — is rallying companies around a bold idea: that the best businesses aren’t just the best in the world, they’re the best for it. That's music to our ears.
What is a B Corp, exactly?
B Corp Certification is like a report card for companies that actually give a darn — about people, the planet, and doing the right thing even when it’s hard.
It’s a verified stamp that says:
✔️ We treat our people well
✔️ We care about our community
✔️ We tread lighter on the planet
✔️ We run our business with values, not just profits
There are now over 9,700 B Corps in more than 100 countries, from snack brands you know to software companies you don’t — and now, your favorite kids’ outdoor gear brand is one of them, too.
How did we get here?
With grit, spreadsheets, and a whole lot of heart.
Over the course of 14 months and with support from an amazing student team from the University of Colorado - Masters of the Environment, we opened the books, answered hundreds of questions, made real improvements, and reflected deeply on how we show up — for our team, our customers, and our little mountain town.
We ended up with a score of 97.4 on the B Impact Assessment (nicely above the 80 required). But more than that, we ended up with clarity. Accountability. And a renewed commitment to doing what’s right — not just what’s easy.
Why does it matter?
Because this isn’t just a feel-good label. It’s a framework that keeps us honest. At Town Hall, transparency, sustainability, and community aren’t nice-to-haves — they’re why we exist.
Becoming a B Corp means we’ve hardwired those values into the way we run this business, every single day.
We’re not perfect. But we are always progressing. And now we’ve got a map, a compass, and a whole global crew of fellow B Corps walking the same trail.
We’re here for the kids who need gear that works. For the parents who care where it comes from. And for the next generation who deserve clean rivers, snowy trails, and wild wonder.
So yeah — we’re pretty dang proud.
