Town Hall's 2026 Gear Guide: New Winter Jackets and Snow Bibs!

Town Hall's 2026 Gear Guide: New Winter Jackets and Snow Bibs!

Our new and improved 2026 kids ski, snowboard, and winter gear is here! We are excited to get you outfitted for a snowy El Niño winter ahead.

Built By Kids, For Kids

Every year we invite kids of all ages (their parents sometimes too) to share their favorites, frustrations, and (always hilarious) thoughts on our outerwear. We want to know what they care about and what we should design in the future.

There is no shortage of laughter, lemonade, cocoa, and trail mix! And there are always some incredible nuggets that lead to awesome design changes and color selections for our kids' winter jackets and kids snow pants.

This year we heard that the kickpatches on the snow bibs were wearing quicker than parents hoped, and kids told us the snaps on the bibs were "hard to close with gloves on."

Our "Kidsumer Insights" sessions also helped bring colored zippers to life, with bright yet super-rich colors that will stand the test of time.

Last but not least, parents want to get their littles in Town Hall outerwear sooner. So we now offer XXS winter jackets and snow pants for little kids! The XXS fits kiddos roughly age 4. It does not fit like a 4T toddler; it works best on big preschoolers or smaller kindergarteners.

Here are some highlights from the line-up that will help keep you warm and dry through all of the adventures ahead.

Mountain Town Winter Jacket

Mountain Town Winter Jacket: If you're new to Town Hall, this jacket is the ultimate ski and snowboarding jacket. And this season, it comes in two new, beautifully rich colors. Its technical features are built to perform on the slopes, and it has all the bells and whistles to make your ski or snowboard day comfy, warm, and dry.

What makes this the best ski and snowboard jacket for kids?

Built with 150-gram recycled insulation and waterproof (15K waterproof - 15K breathable and treated with a DWR free of intentionally added PFAS), the Mountain Town Winter Jacket is warm (our Steamboat kiddos often wear it with just a T-shirt underneath) and features super durable YKK zippers that stay put, are easy to pull for little hands, and are hard to push to the limits.

With an ample dose of pockets, including a handy pass pocket on the wrist to zip through lift lines, your kiddo can bring all the snacks they want to the slopes.

A powder skirt, wrist gaiters, and attached hood with elastic keep the warmth in and snow out. And pit zips dump the heat after a hard lap.

And when they grow, snip a few stitches in the "grow cuff" sleeve for another 1.5 inches — no need to buy a new winter coat before next season.

The best part? Everything on this jacket is recycled except the snaps, zips, and Velcro—and we're working on those!

Mountain Town Winter Bib

Mountain Town Winter Bib: Built for skiing and snowboarding, tough enough for the sledding hill at recess. The Mountain Town Bib doesn't care which hill kids are on.

These bibs are, by far, our most popular kids' snow pants. It's the partner to the Mountain Town Winter Jacket and holds up in any condition.

New this season:

We replaced the harder-to-use waist snaps with magnets and increased durability on the kick patch by making it bigger.

Why are these the best snow bibs for kids?

Reinforced knees and a durable kick patch mean kids can slide, kneel, and crash - and the gear can keep up. 15K waterproofing, 15k breathable, a DWR free of intentionally added PFAS, and an internal leg gaiter keep the cold and wet out, so "I'm cold, can we go in" turns into one more run.

This season's new magnet waist closure means less fighting with snaps and more time on the slopes. (Your ski instructor will thank you!) Reinforced knees and durable kick patches handle the hard stuff, while an easy clip-and-strap adjuster lets kids dial in the fit all by themselves (and tucks neatly away when they’re done).

The grow seams allow you to snip out a few stitches and extend the length for another season of play.

Thoughtfully built, endlessly durable, and ready for deep winter days, this is the bib that keeps the fun going long after others head inside. Paired with the Mountain Town Winter Jacket, it's built to last through more than one winter.

Down Town Puffy Jacket

Kids Down Town Puffy Jacket: Our award-winning Down Town Puffy will not let you down. Stuffed with warm, lofty 650-fill-power recycled down, we're bringing two new fun colors to the puffy this season.

Why is this the best winter puffer jacket for kids?

As always, the attached hood with elastic keeps cold out on blustery days, and the internal chest pocket is perfect for stashing snacks (or, dare we say, their phone).

Easy-access hand pockets keep hands warm, and YKK zippers throughout are built for strength and durability.

The Ripstop shell and liner are treated with DWR free of intentionally added PFAS, minimizing rips and damage—while we also minimize our footprint on the planet.

Skip Town Insulated Jacket: The Skip Town Jacket is the layer that always feels like the right call. Warm enough for the walk to school, light enough that nobody complains by the time they get there. The Skip Town Jacket is reversible and lightly insulated with recycled fill, so it lands right in that in-between spot: warmer than a hoodie, without the bulk of a big puffy jacket.

And this year's jacket comes in gender-neutral juicy colors (i.e. hand-me-downable) that really stand out. It's just one more item that gets handed down instead of outgrown and tossed, from one kid to the next, season after season.

What makes this the best lightweight kids jacket?

The durable Ripstop shell with a DWR free of intentionally added PFAS shrugs off drizzle, stray snowflakes, and crisp morning air. The pockets and zippers hold up no matter how many times they get yanked open and shut in a day.

Best of all: Flip it inside out for a fresh look and head back out—two jackets in one, ready for whatever’s next and truly built for four seasons.

We're Ready for Winter!

Every year, we build the next lineup of kids ski jackets and kids snow pants and bibs around what real kids tell us, not what looks good on a spec sheet.

That's why the Mountain Town Winter Bib trades stiff, gloved-hand snaps for one-handed magnets, why the kick patch got bigger where kids actually wear it out, and why a four-year-old can finally get a proper XXS instead of swimming in a hand-me-down two sizes too big.

Whether you need a kids ski jacket for lift lines, a kids puffy jacket for the walk to school, or snow pants tough enough for the sledding hill at recess, this year's gear was made the same way it always is: tested by the kids who wear it, built through real Steamboat winters, and made with as much recycled material as we can manage.
